Guided Soft Tissue Regeneration is a surgical procedure regenerating defects of the bearing tooth structures, bones and gums stemming from the consequences of periodontitis. The procedure can include using membranes, bone tissue replacements and a gingival transplant.
The installation of the membrane on the damaged area prevents ingrowing of the meat into the bone and thereby ensures the recovery of the supporting structures of the tooth. The procedure can be done in cases of bone defects, exposed root furcations and gingival recession. Before the procedure the patient has to undergo a periodontal treatment.
