Veneers are thin restorative solutions cemented onto front surfaces of the teeth with minimal whetting of the healthy tooth (0,5 mm) in order to correct certain aesthetic problems like colour, the size and the form of the tooth, repairs done on front surfaces, teeth being too close together, or too far apart (diastema), or due to damage resulting from breakage or cavity.
Veneers produce better results than a whitening process because they do not change their colour after a certain period of time, and after drinking coffee, tea, red wine or smoking cigarettes. Every colouration as well as pigmentation of the tooth (due to endodontic treatments causing a tooth to become grey) can be treated using veneers.
