Single Dental Implant

Replacement of an individual tooth can be done either by installing an implant and a crown onto it, or by replacing more teeth with an implant upon which a bridge is made, and thereby no surrounding healthy teeth are affected. When installing a bridge which is to replace one tooth, two neighbouring teeth have to be whetted. The effect is, at the beginning, the same as when only an implant is installed. However, over time gums and bone retract, leaving an empty space above the bridge, while neighbouring teeth face dental cervix exposure.
